Yan Ge and Qin Yuan met on a comedy debate show.
Yan Ge was there to provide the laughs, while Qin Yuan handled the logic.
The show was a big hit.
But most netizens said Yan Ge really was a pretty airhead, completely mismatched with the serious, brilliant Professor Qin.
Then, a month later, a Weibo hot-search topic exploded. It started when a major influencer tagged economics professor Qin Yuan and jokingly asked what he thought was most precious and held its value best in the current economic climate.
Professor Qin replied with just two words: Yan Ge.
