Shen Shang refers to the Shen and Shang stars. They never appear in the sky at the same time: when one rises, the other sets. The term is used to refer to old friends who are torn apart by bitter separation and can never meet again. It comes from Du Fu's poem To the Recluse Wei Ba: "In life we do not meet, like Shen and Shang, the stars that never share the sky."
This story is adapted from the Jian Wang 3 fan song Shen Shang. It tells the story of Li Aoxue of the Tiance and Ye Wenshui of the Cangjian. Some parts have been filled in with imagination, so they may differ from the music video...
