If Only... Back Then

This is a story about love and friendship among the students in a high school humanities class.

It's been four years since I graduated from high school. Perhaps I'm no longer quite up to writing about those days, but I hope more people will come to know this story.

There's no other reason. I'm writing this to remember the two wonderful boys in my memories: one with bright eyes and a lovely smile, and the other who looked at him with a smile that could outshine the whole world.

I'll tell you their story from a third-person perspective, along with the story of the friends gathered around them. I'll do my best to write with a clear conscience. After all, these two boys and their circle of friends aren't just characters in a book. They really existed.

All right, to everyone who's still willing to keep reading after the author's rambling about literary things, you are all the author's true loves! You're all like lucky koi fish!
