Fu Lingxi fell in love with someone he should not, could not love.
The man wanted money, and Fu Lingxi gave him everything he had without batting an eye. He wanted the Fu family, so Fu Lingxi handed over the position of young master. He took a fancy to the most beautiful woman in the martial world, and Fu Lingxi even shamelessly helped him ask for her hand. In the end, he had everything, yet still wasn’t satisfied. He wanted Fu Lingxi’s life!
Bewitched by worldly things, lost on the wrong path.
Fu Lingxi didn’t care if he lived or died. If the man wanted his life, he could have it. But he wanted more than just Fu Lingxi’s life. He also wanted to take Fu Lingxi’s mother’s life.
With his life hanging by a thread, Fu Lingxi finally came to his senses. His sincere heart had been utterly crushed, leaving him cold to the core.
At last, he turned back from the wrong path.
After this experience, Fu Lingxi had thought that the heart left battered and broken by that man was dead beyond repair, never to beat again.
Until he picked up a ferocious beast that looked soft and adorable on the outside but was actually ill-tempered and brutal. His life changed beyond recognition. No, it wasn’t only his life that changed. His whole persona changed, too.
[One morning, Fu Lingxi woke to find a certain little ball sprawled on his chest. It wore a serious expression, but its original form greatly diminished its imposing air. “What’s wrong?”
The little ball: “Wuwu! Awooooo!” You jerk! No conscience! No decency! No shame! No dick!
Fu Lingxi smiled gently. “Use your words.”
The little ball: “Awooo! Awooo! Awooo!” Don’t play dumb! Don’t think I can’t tell you understand me just because I’m not speaking human language!
Fu Lingxi reached out and pinched the little ball’s fluffy ears, then stroked its enormous, bushy tail. The texture was just as good as ever, he thought.
Poof!
The snow mist cleared. The palm-sized little ball had vanished, replaced by a tall, slender body. Aside from the snowy hair that nearly covered the whole bed, there wasn’t the slightest trace of the little ball in that strong, powerful frame.
A low voice sounded. Its gloomy tone alone was enough to tell that its owner was in a bad mood. “You’re not going!”
Fu Lingxi’s expression remained unchanged, though his gaze deepened. He answered ambiguously, “Maybe something came up.”
The beast bristled. “What could that brat possibly need? He’s just trying to steal you away from me! If you go, I’ll use that... flower move on you!”
Fu Lingxi watched the beast with interest. “Want to try?”
The beast immediately backed down. Poof! With another sound, it turned back into a little ball and protested with a series of “awoo”s.
Fu Lingxi fell silent for a moment, then said pensively, “Actually, I don’t mind this form either. I just don’t know if you can handle it.”
The beast: “...”
Poof!
Back in human form, the beast gritted its teeth. “You have no humanity!”
That was what it said, but its actions were clearly faster than its words. Before Fu Lingxi could react, it pounced on him first, sealing those pale, thin lips that had made it so angry it was shedding fur with every other word...]
