Saving the Black Lotus Across Time

Yi Wanxing meets Zhou Xuchen three times, across different timelines.

Who is Zhou Xuchen? The unwanted son of a wealthy family, rumored to be gloomy and strange, obsessive and savage. Everyone keeps their distance from him.

But Yi Wanxing has seen him at his most helpless and vulnerable.

The first time, he's nine. In the cold psychiatric hospital, he hides all his ferocity, pretends to be weak and pitiful, and looks at her with tearful eyes as he humbly begs her to take him away from that hell.

The second time, he's sixteen. Now a handsome, refined boy, he confesses his feelings to her with utmost sincerity. He promises, word by word, that he'll be with her forever and never leave.

The third time, he's twenty-nine. The frail boy of the past has transformed completely. Powerful and composed, he can stand steadily in front of her and shield her from every storm.

Yi Wanxing has always believed that a meeting and bond spanning twenty years would end in a peaceful, happy future.

But she never knew that Zhou Xuchen's tenderness and devotion have always been a cage meant to trap her.

Zhou Xuchen didn't like this seemingly timid, weak woman at first.

But when she carried him out of a fire and took a blade meant for him...

He became certain that she was the only light in his hell, and the prisoner he would use every means to keep locked away.

[Timid, stubborn, justice-loving Yi Wanxing x gloomy, obsessive, utterly deranged Zhou Xuchen]
