From Sassanian Persia to Chang'an

In the nineteenth year of the Kaiping era, the last prince of Persia arrived in prosperous Chang'an to seek aid. After a difficult struggle, he won the Son of Heaven's support and set off on the road to reclaim his kingdom. Only a Persian boy with dark green eyes was left behind with the emperor as a hostage by his father. Surprisingly, Narsiye grew up in Chang'an without ever feeling out of place.
