Qinghe Tailor Shop

Old Lu said that if you walk half a li farther down Nanjing Road, then turn left at the first alley entrance, you'll find an old lane paved with bluestone slabs.

The Qinghe Tailor Shop he recommended is the fourth shop in Siping Lane, at door number 004.

If you're alive and need clothes, go before sunset. If you're dead and need something made, be sure to leave before the rooster crows.

The owner's skilled, the prices are fair, and he treats ghosts and people alike.

When asking about the price, remember to give his name, Old Lu. You might even get a fifteen-percent discount.

Whether it's real banknotes or counterfeit spirit money, saving a little is always good.

Reader's Note:

A companion piece to The Attic, with the flavor of old Shanghai. No angst, and the tailor shop owner is so handsome no one can compare.
