My B&B Is Famous in Both the Human and Spirit Worlds

Ji Yi opened a guesthouse just hoping to scrape by, but he never expected there would be so much to do. When a guest asked why the coffee table moved on its own, he had to keep a straight face and say, "This is our newly purchased smart coffee table." To a miserable old ghost whose sacrifices had been discontinued, he offered a deal: "How about working for me? I'll pay you on Tomb-Sweeping Day and the Double Ninth Festival." To an insect-clan demoness applying for a job, he earnestly explained, "We believe in gender equality here. You really can't just go around killing men." To a cat demon hoping to lie around and earn money in comfort, he offered a gentle warning: "If you work at a cat cafe, they might take your bell away." By day, he served guests and worked hard to grow the business. At night, he trained his employees and studied hard to improve. He bought a projector to teach the little demons the rules of human society, and used a peachwood branch to urge the local ghosts to improve themselves. He worked himself nearly sick. Years later, many demons who had successfully made their way in human society would say with feeling, "My story as a cat began at a guesthouse everyone has heard of..." Countless ghosts, named poverty-alleviation role models by the underworld, would wipe away their tears and say, "I don't deserve this honor. First of all, I want to thank my boss..." The microphone was held up to Ji Yi. "Is there anything you'd like to say?" Ji Yi said gravely, "Everything is fate. We have no say in even the smallest thing."
