I Am the Head of This Household

Ever since Lu Mengting, the Great Wei's first female marshal, died on the battlefield for Emperor Nan Huailing, the emperor has grown increasingly deranged and unruly.

With a harem full of beauties, why would he pick up a little beggar by the creek and make him crown prince?

The people mourn Marshal Meng, who took a hundred arrows, had her shoulder split by a broken spear, and died fighting with a blade in her hand rather than kneeling to the enemy. They say the emperor must be blind to have protected her.

When Lu Mengting opens her eyes, Nan Huailing's little Xuanzi has somehow turned into old Xuanzi?

Why is she still in Nan Huailing's bedchamber?

Why is everyone calling her Crown Prince?

Crown Prince, my ass! I'm a woman.

Everyone bows: We know, we know...

Only then does she learn that sixteen years have passed, and everything has changed.

Lu Mengting has been dead for years. The following year, Emperor Nan Huailing also passed away?

The newly appointed regent, Shen Yi'an, comes to pay his respects.

You, Nan Huailing, what's with the act? Still putting on a show?

Fine. Keep this regent here. I want him to attend me tonight.

Old Xuanzi cries so hard his nose is running: Have some shame! The regent still has to face people!

"The most foolhardy person in the world was Lu Mengting. No wonder she died young."

"Damn you, you still have the nerve to say that? If it weren't for you, Nan Huailing, why would I have led a hundred and eighty men to defend Molucheng to the death?"

"You, Nan Huailing, were all Lu Mengting when there was trouble, and Liu Xianglin when things were fine. I died in battle because I was blind."

After one night of heavy drinking, everyone in Great Wei knew that the former imperial harem might soon become the new imperial court.

"They have filthy minds and see romance between men everywhere. Don't cry, either. Even if you really wanted to be empress, you can forget it. I put the empire first. My beauty, you're so thin. You've lost weight."

Shen Yi'an: ...
