The Yellow Springs Inn

Blurb: Along the endless three-thousand-mile road to the Yellow Springs, there's only one inn where passing yin messengers and ghosts can rest. It's called the Yellow Springs Inn.

The innkeeper, Yun Shu, is a great beauty with a mysterious past and incredible powers. The entire underworld treats her with deference.

She helps the dead fulfill their lingering wishes so they can leave the mortal world without regrets, asking for just a little in return:

a memory they treasured most in life.

Would you trade a memory for the freedom to leave your regrets behind?

If so, then...

Welcome to the Yellow Springs Inn.

I firmly believe this is a healing story, and I will not accept any objections.

The setting is entirely fictional, entirely fictional, entirely fictional. Inspired by mythology, with heaps of original worldbuilding. No ranking comparisons, please. Thank you! <

My other ongoing novel, Book Transmigration After the Story Ends

Ming Yan transmigrates into a pitiful supporting female character in a book and carefully keeps her head down until the story ends.

Aside from her, the bug in the story who knows how it ends, everyone else's ending is just like the one in the book.

Except... this pitiful villain has it a little rough.

After losing his family, Xu Wangchen lies on the ground, staring at the blue sky and imagining a thousand ways to die.

A beautiful face blocks a patch of clouds. Looking down at him mockingly, she says, "Oh? Want to die? I never knew my ex-fiancé was such a coward!"

Later, her ex-fiancé Xu Wangchen becomes her husband. Ming Yan frowns and realizes things aren't so simple.

A man like Xu Wangchen may not be afraid of dying, but he's afraid of being abandoned by others.

Even more than that, he's afraid of giving up on himself.

The first job Xu Wangchen gets after losing his family is working as Ming Yan's manager.

When word gets around, plenty of people come to mock him. Xu Wangchen doesn't care.

When Ming Yan hears about it, she angrily drags Xu Wangchen off to settle the score.

She points at Xu Wangchen in front of the rich kids who bullied him, looking supremely proud.

"Let me introduce him. This is Xu Wangchen. Xu Wangchen, the man you'll never measure up to."

"He's under my protection."

I think the sun must have eyes. Otherwise, why would only you shine so brightly?
