[Upcoming novel: The Golden Branch, A Concubine's Tale]
After entering the palace, Zhao Tang was nothing more than a lowly palace maid.
Years later, everyone in the palace was saying that the Zhao family girl had bewitched the emperor with her beauty, rising to a high position despite her humble beginnings as a palace maid.
Zhao Tang swept forward in her magnificent robes, her fluttering sleeves undaunted by the wind and frost.
"With every step, I tread upon a sea of blood and bones, my gaze fixed on the splendor of the nine provinces."
P.S. A traditional palace-intrigue novel, set in a fictional world, a very fictional one. Those who demand historical accuracy, read at your own risk.
Upcoming novel: The Golden Branch. Please add it to your reading list!
Top-tier green tea x blunt, no-nonsense man
The Lu family of the capital held great power, and everyone knew of the valiant Young General Lu.
When he returned victorious and paraded through the streets, his handsome, dashing looks always inspired young women and widows to toss fruit into his carriage until it overflowed.
Unfortunately...
"Is this the eleventh one?"
Jiang Wan watched from afar and couldn't help counting on her fingers.
The woman who fell into the water, the one who threw herself into his arms, the one who dropped her handkerchief... Their tricks were endless.
Unfortunately, they were all wasting their charms on a blind man.
Just then, Young General Lu's guard jumped into the water with a splash.
The eldest daughter of the Jiang family was famed far and wide, and so many people sought her hand that they nearly wore down her doorstep.
"Young Master Chen, you're a good man, but we're not suited for each other."
Jiang Wan looked at the man across from her, her fine brows furrowing as she gently bit her red lips, her beauty pristine and untouchable.
The son of a mere fourth-rank Hanlin Academy Reader wanted to marry her?
Jiang Wan held a list of every young gentleman in the capital hidden in her sleeve, smiling without a word.
"Husband, yesterday at the palace banquet, Commandery Princess Yong'an kept glaring at me for some reason. I'm scared~"
Jiang Wan threw herself into Lu Jingxuan's arms, striking the pose of Xi Shi clutching her heart as she complained coquettishly.
Was she?
Young General Lu wiped his long saber and tried hard to remember.
He only recalled that Yong'an's eyes seemed to be twitching as she kept blinking. He'd even considered asking someone to summon the imperial physician to examine her.
My other palace-intrigue novel, A Concubine's Tale, is also coming soon. Please add it to your reading list.
Theme: Promotions and raises come through hard work.
The ending is really very cang? Cu
It felt like the ending was very sloppy and nothing was explained clearly.
It would be nice to have more extra chapters. The fourth prince in the previous life should have lost his mother when he was 2 or 3 years old. Even if he was valued by the emperor, his life would definitely not be as good as this life. Of course, his skills should be stronger and more kind than in this life.
Even if this princess survives, she will probably live in pain for the rest of her life once she knows the truth of the matter. She uses herself as a bargaining chip to bring down the concubine, not to mention that her own mother chose the latter between herself and her brother without considering her own feelings at all. On weekdays, I might be lucky that I am not a younger brother, so I don't have to study so hard, but at critical times, I will be jealous of my younger brother. My mother has placed high hopes on me since I was a child, unlike myself, who is a princess anyway and is no longer a member of my family after I get married.
It looks good, but it ends too hastily.
Li Xinyue finally couldn't hold back and was about to be exposed?
It's true that the ending was rather rushed. The previous plot was well written, but by the finale, it felt like it wasn't finished.
Jump directly to the ending. Is the extra chapter not finished yet?
Relive a new life, still the same brainless person
