Blurb:
This is a realistic story exploring life and topics related to it, including family, love, friendship, dignity, and money.
Reality can be warm, but it can also be cruel. It all depends on people's hearts and human nature!
Human nature may not withstand every test, but we should still turn toward the light and hope for better things!
Reading Guide:
1. The heroine is named Jian Qiang, pronounced like "strong," and the hero is named Huo Zhe, roughly meaning "alive." So heroine + hero = "strong and alive." It's simple, direct, on point, and easy to remember!
2. This is a realist story, and most of the characters are based on real people. The story's development is not up to anyone's will, including the author's or the readers', so proceed with caution!
3. There is a psychological condition called death anxiety. I'm no expert, but the heroine has it. So if some of her actions or thoughts are hard to understand or annoying, that means her symptoms are acting up!
4. The story has sadness and joy, but I don't consider it either a comedy or a tragedy. Some things are destined from the start, beyond human control. Yet that is also the greatness of life: even when you can see the end just up ahead, you still have to live out this not-so-long journey in a way that makes it count.
5. This story has been a long-held wish of mine. Through this humble work, I want to pay my respects to those still struggling bravely through hardship, to the medical workers fighting on the front lines against cancer, and to the selfless donors and volunteers who ask for nothing in return. My writing skills are limited, but my respect is sincere, and I'll do my best to write it well!
