Perhaps what makes The Forest of Fireflies so moving is its imperfect, bittersweet ending. It's just like so many things in real life.
But I still can't accept it. Can't it have a happier ending?
Maybe this is a story about saving someone and being saved in return.
I want to rewrite the story, then tell you five other tales about The Forest of Fireflies.
It's been my cherished moonlight for years. Writing this story is also a way to fulfill one of my own wishes. I hope those of you who love The Forest of Fireflies will enjoy it too. And if you don't, please just quietly leave. I know my writing still has plenty of flaws, so please don't leave critical comments. I'll be sad... _(:з"∠)_

I was really touched when I saw that the main character column was all people. Everyone is unique and there is no priority. Thank you for teaching me the truth.
