In this chaotic world, where jujutsu sorcerers are everywhere and supernatural abilities are as common as dogs, Kamishiro Xun was lucky enough to have a special ability of her own: she could see the countdown to a person's death.
At first glance, this ability sounded amazing, as if she were the King of Hell himself, holding the Book of Life and Death and deciding people's fates, seeing through good and ill fortune.
But in Kamishiro Xun's eyes, it was actually a useless ability that only showed a countdown when someone was about to die. The rest of the time, all she saw was a blur.
But incredibly, Kamishiro Xun never imagined that one day she would see a clear countdown above her own head.
Even more absurdly, she discovered that the only way to extend the countdown was to "die" before it reached zero.
Kamishiro Xun: "…"
What kind of game bug is this?!
In short, to live to a ripe old age, Kamishiro Xun had no choice but to embark on a journey of creative ways to die.
And so:
In her quest to extend her lifespan, Kamishiro Xun tried all sorts of ways to die and posted lengthy accounts of her death-seeking experiences online, making a close friend who shared her death wish.
The bandage-wearing weirdo was deeply moved. "I never knew you were so disgusted with this world too! Let's die together!"
Kamishiro Xun was utterly baffled. "What are you talking about? I'm trying to die so I can live longer."
The bandage-wearing weirdo: "...?"
When faced with a Special Grade Curse, Kamishiro Xun sacrificed herself as bait and was gobbled up with a crunch.
Her teammates were devastated and about to unleash their full power when Kamishiro Xun sat bolt upright. "Hey! I'm alive again!"
Everyone: "...???"
As if a door to a whole new world had opened, Kamishiro Xun threw her head back and laughed. "I get it! If I don't fight for my life, I die, but if I do fight for my life, I don't!"
"Hahahahahaha! I'm done being human!!!!"
*They say jujutsu sorcerers are all crazy. As luck would have it, Kamishiro Xun is the craziest of them all.
*Kamishiro Xun
