[Golden Light] The Way of Complementarity

I watch the world's roads with cool eyes, and stroll freely across the nine lands. With a jug of wine for company, I drink three thousand cups to drunkenness.

Drinking Three Thousand Cups, Qing Jiujiu

Everyone in the Mo family knew that the current Mo family leader had the worst luck in history, bar none. Fortunately, his intelligence more than made up for it, and he had managed to live just fine, much to the chagrin of the Nine Strategists of the Mo family.

Everyone on the Hongming Continent knew that Qing Jiujiu alone possessed seventy percent of the continent's fortune, the greatest share in history. To preserve order and balance on the continent, the Immortal Venerable devised a scheme and took thirty percent of her fortune.

And then, Qing Jiujiu turned evil, just as everyone expected.

But why did the person who turned evil only wreak havoc on a few promising young men?!

Wasn't she supposed to turn evil, destroy the world, and slaughter everyone under heaven?

What is this business of occasionally openly making a partner perfectly suited to complement you, occasionally coming out to vanquish demons and defend the Way, and often standing up for justice when you see it being trampled on?

How are we supposed to find a reason to kill you like this?!

In the end, Heaven, wanting to protect its precious daughter and keep the promising young men of the Hongming Continent from being wiped out, while also fulfilling her wish to find a partner, sent its daughter to the... bed of a man with terrible luck, brilliant intelligence, a handsome face, and little martial skill?!

Uh... Father Heaven is so thoughtful. After reflecting on it, Heaven's precious daughter happily took advantage of the situation and stuck herself to the partner custom-made for her (and kidnapped him).
