Fantasy BL coming soon: Infinite Tabletop Role-Playing Game (Cthulhu)
Leslie, a weak Great Old One, has a special ability: he can control a world that lies between fantasy and reality. But he has never figured out how to use this ability.
Then one day, awakened by Ghroth's noise, his avatar returned from the human world, and he learned of an intriguing game: Call of Cthulhu tabletop role-playing.
So he chose the souls of dead humans and brought them into the world he controlled, to play a live-action tabletop game with him.
If they successfully solved the mystery, he would gain complete control over the world and grow stronger, while the players would be reborn.
It was a perfect plan. But who was this person mixed in among the players he had so carefully selected?!
Leslie is an original character and a Great Old One, one of Hastur's followers. He's so weak that he's at the very bottom even among the Great Old Ones, so he's completely unknown and has no presence at all.
While Hastur slept beneath Lake Hali on one of the planets orbiting Aldebaran, Leslie fell asleep on the ocean floor of a nearby planet.
Great Old Ones: A type of god in the Cthulhu Mythos. They ruled the universe in ancient times, then fell into a slumber. They can only awaken and leave their resting places when the stars are right.
Hastur: A powerful Great Old One, also known as the Unspeakable One and Lord of the Deep Space and Star Sea. (May the long night bring no dreams, and may the black star rise as always!)
Ghroth: An Outer God, a type of god allied with the Great Old Ones and generally more powerful. His ability is like an alarm clock: he makes the stars return to their proper alignment and awakens the slumbering Great Old Ones. Yes, he's basically a walking alarm clock.
KP: The host of a Call of Cthulhu tabletop game, also known as the Keeper. Leslie plays this role in the story.
PL: A player. The characters they control in the game are called investigators, or PCs.
After thinking it over, I've decided to drop Derleth's four-element system. The protagonist is only a follower of Hastur, not part of the same elemental faction. So in this story, Hastur and Cthulhu aren't enemies, either.
Also, the idea that the Great Old Ones were sealed away by the Elder Gods comes from Derleth, and I won't be using that here.
