After Earth's Update, I Became a Max-Level Expert

One ordinary day, Earth updated without a sound.

Countless souls awoke from beneath the ground, and with them came evil spirits that brought calamity and spread fear.

On the second day after Earth's quiet update, a huge shadow suddenly fell over Yu Nan as he walked out of a coffee shop.

He looked up, and the cup in his hand dropped to the ground.

Yu Nan said woodenly, "Do you know of any fish longer than the Empire State Building that can fly through the air?"

Coworker: "...Is something seriously wrong with you?"

Yu Nan: I'd rather there were.

[People with spiritual perception can command spirits to fight evil spirits.

The stronger their spiritual perception, the more powerful the spirits they can control. But higher-level spirits are often eccentric and don't like dealing with people. Anyone who tries to control them will suffer a backlash.] From the Handbook of the Supernatural Research Association.

But at the very end of the handbook, there was another passage: [Except for that person, who seems to be the king of all high-level spirits.]

[If you meet the King, be sure to show him respect, or the high-level spirits may attack you!]

Yu Nan, who only wants to live a quiet life, watches in dismay as the spirits squabble and fight over a spot beside his bed.

--I'm not the King. Stop making me the main character.
