Songs come from the heart. Singers sing as they please, while listeners may find enlightenment or lose themselves in the music.
Long ago, the Ji clan was renowned for song. There were battle maidens who stirred the soul and transformed things through song, and holy maidens who healed people through song, sustaining life without end. Alas, times changed, and people eventually forgot the Ji clan ever existed. The clan gradually withdrew from the world and stopped involving itself in worldly affairs...
Ji Yu was the founder of the Ji clan. Even after her death, her descendants used a secret technique to preserve her appearance, and she was sealed in ice within the clan.
