Shi Ran deeply regretted not memorizing the entire horror movie when she watched it.
She accidentally transmigrated into a famous horror film franchise, becoming the male lead Zhao Chen's beloved first love, a cannon-fodder character who dies at the very beginning and is about to be pinned to the ground and viciously mauled by an evil spirit.
Shi Ran thought it was time to ask the male lead for help.
But after meeting Zhao Chen, she was struck dumb with disbelief.
It's ridiculous that this bastard hasn't been struck by lightning.
[Ghost-hunting world's ruthless thug x doomed-from-the-start first love]
Reader's notes:
1. The male lead is seriously messed up, a B-king lunatic, so expect plenty of fun moments where he gets humiliated, badly injured, and pines for his wife alone.
2. The early chapters are goofy to make the author and readers less scared. The middle and later sections turn serious, mostly featuring Chinese folk horror.
3. The male lead's ghost-hunting abilities are maxed out, but his views need correcting. Don't blindly follow him or imitate him.
4. Sometimes the female lead will go into a dungeon alone to train and grow. Taking away the male lead's golden finger now and then helps prevent things from getting stale.
Theme: Evil will be punished, if not today, then someday.
