One night, the heroine, Mu Ziyu, dreamed of a terrifying scene. Li Xu, an editor at a newspaper, was wandering aimlessly through the streets, bored out of his mind. Without realizing it, he made his way to the river and ran into a mysterious woman in red. After they talked, he was inexplicably led by her to a strange teahouse. The woman in red later gave Li Xu a cup of tea. He seemed to have been poisoned, his vision went black, and he collapsed.
The dream ended abruptly, and Mu Ziyu woke from her nightmare. She suspected she had been struck by some mysterious curse, which was why she had nightmares every night. In the darkness, she began to think back over what had happened recently.
It all began when she received her grandmother's notebook...
