A Wicked Man

[The main story and bonus chapters are complete~]

"A warning first: this isn't a proper historical romance. It's just a story about over-the-top pampering, with the heroine spoiled to the heavens and a Mary Sue setup. The writing was a little rough in the first half, but I'm happy with the second half. It's a love story so wonderful it makes me cry!"

Wei Miaoqin is the Yuan Tan Commandery Princess, personally named by the emperor and the most distinguished young woman in Great Wei. Her good reputation is known throughout the land.

Half a month ago, she became engaged to a man from a distinguished aristocratic family. They were a perfect match, and everyone envied them.

Then everything changed overnight. Xun Rui rebelled, seized the throne, and forced her to marry him.

Xun Rui grew up among another people and was born defiant.

He's thoroughly wicked and cruel.

Everyone says the new emperor is ruthless and merciless. Since the Yuan Tan Commandery Princess was once the former emperor's favorite, surely she'll be humiliated and tortured to death.

-

Much later, people realize that the once-favored Yuan Tan Commandery Princess has merely changed her status. She's still the one who receives all the emperor's affection.

Only then does everyone in the capital finally understand: Did Xun Rui rebel back then because he couldn't get himself a wife?

-

A defiant peasant-born villain x a soft, charming heiress

Sweet, doting forced love. The male lead is genuinely bad.

Both leads are reborn. The heroine doesn't need revenge because the male lead takes care of everything for her~ The male lead takes her by force and is hopelessly obsessive. Also, be warned: it's a Mary Sue story, and everyone loves the little princess.

There's a mystery element, with the events of their past lives gradually revealed.

Qi Chunjin caused a scene at a Zhou family banquet and became a laughingstock. Afterward, she moved with her parents to the bitterly cold Dingzhou.

From that day on, she began dreaming every night. In her dreams was a haughty, ruthless man who gripped her waist each time, as if he meant to crush her whole body.

Four years later, the Qi family's main branch fell into decline, allowing Qi Chunjin's branch to return to the capital. The Zhou family held another grand banquet.

Everyone tried to curry favor with Prince Regent Song Heng.

Qi Chunjin cautiously shrinks back. ...

Isn't that the man who appears in her dreams every night?

-

Prince Regent Song Heng wields immense power over the court and is unmatched in his good looks. He's nearly thirty and still unmarried. Nobody knows that a goddess appears in his dreams every night, but Song Heng has searched everywhere and never found her.

At the Zhou family banquet, everyone recommends their daughters to him.

Song Heng spots a familiar face at a glance: soft and charming, with a hint of seductiveness.

Before he can even feel happy, the woman meets his gaze and recoils in alarm.

Song Heng: ...

Is he really that scary?

The heroine is a soft, charming, survival-minded little coward. The hero is a big bad wolf who's not what he seems and ends up crying every day because she's so adorable.

Theme: Even when trapped in the mud, tear down ugliness and keep striving to do good.
