Lychee, Lychee, Tell Me

Wen Zhili and Xie Congshu were utterly smitten with each other, but in the end, they still broke up.

When they split, Xie Congshu coolly issued an ultimatum: "If you walk out that door today, I'll forget you in a heartbeat."

Wen Zhili turned and left without so much as looking back.

Not long after they reunite, Xie Congshu runs into Wen Zhili being harassed by an unwanted admirer in an underground parking garage.

The admirer feels inexplicably guilty in front of his own boss, his knees turning weak as he nearly drops to them.

But remembering that his boss usually doesn't meddle in other people's business, he relaxes.

Then, in the very next second, the boss suddenly turns vicious and unleashes a brutal triple attack.

"You're not good enough for her, idiot."

"She wouldn't even look twice at me... as a friend. Why would she care about your money?"

"Your entire net worth wouldn't even buy her a handbag. Give me a break."

The unwanted admirer withers on the spot and scurries away in terror.

Knowing he has nearly let the truth slip, Xie Congshu is about to explain and smooth things over, but when he turns around, he sees Wen Zhili looking down as if searching for something.

He asks, "What's wrong?"

Wen Zhili looks at him with a teasing smile. "Your head fell off when you turned around. I'm picking it up to put it back on."

Xie Congshu: "..."

-

"Lychee, Lychee, tell me, does she like me even a little?"

"More than a little."
