He had always been particular about cleanliness, yet now he could not even draw a simple cleansing talisman. With a faint, relieved smile, he walked out of the underground palace. It was winter outside, and the snow-covered plain stretched into a vast white expanse. He had no strength left to go on, so he sank into the snow and closed his eyes. A dazzling golden light began to shine from his body.
