“Don’t...” she pleaded, but her gaze slowly grew hazy.

"Go... to Konoha. If you go to Konoha, you’ll be able to see Kakashi again." He gave Xue that bright, toothy smile once more. "He’s so strong, he’ll definitely protect you...

The familiar figure who had been by her side day and night vanished before her eyes, leaving no trace behind: not a tear, a smile, or even a fragment of memory. Only those final words lingered in her ears, along with the little hope he had left deep in her soul. Though they could never meet again, his rough voice still echoed from time to time.

"Go, Shiroi Yuki."

The name’s origin and the story’s background:

The name Shiroi Yuki comes from the Land of Waves mission. When Haku died at the end, it began to snow, and Naruto said, “Haku was born in a village where it’s always snowing.” Kakashi then wore a very sorrowful expression and said, “I see. A boy as pure as snow.” When I watched that scene, I don’t know why, but the word “snow” felt like a name to me. So I wondered if Kakashi had once known a girl named Yuki, and came up with the idea of writing a story about “Yuki.” The surname “Shiroi” comes from Kakashi’s father, who was known as Konoha’s “White Fang,” or “Shiroi Kiba” in Japanese. I wanted to show that she was closely connected to Kakashi, his adopted younger sister, but since they weren’t related by blood, she couldn’t be called “Hatake.” That’s how I came up with the name “Shiroi Yuki.”

Yuki’s background is basically the same as Zabuza and Haku’s, so that when Haku died, Kakashi could think of “Yuki.” Like Haku, Yuki is a ninja feared for her power, and was abandoned by her own village. She too was saved by someone like a “big brother,” in her case, Kakashi. He finds her, and their relationship gradually develops into that of siblings. Kakashi protects and cherishes Yuki, and she returns his affection.
