From Ancient Times to the Modern Era
Quick Transmigration, Infinite-Flow
The story of a gentle white-robed physician and a white-robed sword cultivator having a grand old time together
Blurb
After the protagonist dies in his own world, something called the System comes looking for him.
As long as he binds himself to the System and completes its missions, he can earn a huge number of points. Once he has saved enough, he can trade them for a chance to be reborn.
The protagonist thinks: Fine. At least this way, I’m still alive.
After completing missions for a while, the protagonist has saved tens of millions of points. He still has a long way to go before reaching the hundreds of millions needed to exchange them for a chance to be reborn.
Recently, the System underwent a major update, changing how missions work. From now on, everyone has to bind themselves to a partner and complete missions as a team.
With no other choice, the protagonist takes his little ID card to the matchmaking market (crossed out) team-up hall (check), only to discover that no one is interested in his type!
"The domineering emperor type over there is pretty good, and so is the CEO type. The possessive type is gaining ground... Even laid-back bottoms are popular. With the right pairing, you could get unexpected results."
The protagonist listens as if he’s hearing a foreign language. "Huh?" What are these things?
The short man who has come to "matchmake" with the protagonist rolls his eyes and holds out his hand. "Where’s your card? Let me see it."
The protagonist obediently hands over his ID card. The only thing listed under attributes is "gentle as jade."
"You’re not even labeled top or bottom? With this attribute, have you been playing the second male lead all along? You should be sent to the romance section instead... Have your mission targets always been men?"
Of course. The protagonist nods firmly.
His most recent mission target was a gloomy big shot who had been abused as a child and grown up psychologically twisted.
Through his own hard work, the protagonist got into medical school and became a renowned psychological physician. After years of tireless effort, he finally cured his mission target’s psychological illness.
With the protagonist’s support and encouragement, the target eventually worked his way up to become the world’s richest man, and even wanted to give him half the business empire he had built. Unfortunately, he refused to heed advice and slept only three hours a night for years, so the target died young from overwork. Even now, whenever the protagonist thinks about it, he feels deeply regretful.
(The blurb isn’t finished yet. To be continued. I’ll come back to write more when I have time. The CP appears later, meaning later in the blurb, not later in the story. He appears in Chapter One.)
Anyway, what happens next is that because the protagonist isn’t good at selling himself, he still hasn’t managed to team up with anyone by the time the matchmaking event ends. Everyone has left the hall, and the guard at the entrance urges him to hurry up and leave because he needs to lock up and go home! The protagonist thinks that in this situation, he can only ask the System what other options are available... Just then, the bottom arrives, walking beneath the moonlight. He has a terrible sense of direction. While everyone else was matchmaking and forming teams inside, he was outside asking for directions like crazy. By the time he finally finds his way there, it’s completely dark.
The protagonist sees him and feels they’re in the same boat. He pats the bottom on the shoulder and says they can go ask the System together what they should do. But the bottom’s eyes light up. Well, look at that, there’s still one person left for me! Let’s just team up!
And so the top and bottom are bound together~
The top and bottom both come from ancient worlds, but their mission worlds range from the modern era to the interstellar future, so it’s a story of traveling from ancient times to the modern era.
