Jiang Shique is a well-known young physician in Qixing City, where she is deeply "respected" and "adored" by cultivators.
Her life is peaceful and ordinary, yet fulfilling. Then one day, a person claiming to be the former leader of Lingcheng's covert guards arrives in tears and tells her that she is the sole direct descendant of the Jiang clan of Lingcheng, wiped out twenty years ago. They urge her to lead an army back to Lingcheng and avenge her enemies!
Jiang Shique naturally rejects this ridiculous proposal. But to her surprise, the Hanging Needle Immortal Doctor she has been longing to meet, Ying Xunyan, has traveled all the way to Qixing City, hoping to team up with her and journey to Lingcheng to uncover the secrets of the past.
Swayed by her beauty, Jiang Shique agrees without hesitation.
With safety as her top priority, when the covert guard leader comes to persuade her again, Jiang Shique agrees to her request.
"Where's the army you mentioned?"
"You and me."
"..."
"And the enemy?"
"The Tai Xuan Sect, currently the greatest sect in the cultivation world."
"..."
But that's all right. A medical cultivator can rally an army of thousands all by herself.
Studying medicine can save the cultivation world, and even let you rule it while you're at it!
