The Taoist and the Demoness (Wuxia)

In the final years of Shu, the realm descended into chaos. The emperor put his unwavering faith in the demonic Daoist Xuan Qingzi, stirring up public outrage and earning the bitter hatred of the upright officials at court. They would have gladly devoured the demonic Daoist's flesh and drunk the blood of his followers. Later, Emperor Ling fell gravely ill. The demonic Daoist fell from grace and was hunted by the court, until Xuan Qingzi fell into the hands of the Holy Maiden of the Hundred Blossoms Demon Cult. The Holy Maiden had long, slender legs and a graceful figure. She planted one foot on Xuan Lingzi's shoulder blade, her honeyed lips just inches away. Her breath was as sweet as orchids, making his every hair stand on end and setting his insides ablaze. "Tell me, where is your master?" Canglan's sword pointed at Xuan Qingzi's throat. One strike would be enough to take his life. Xuan Qingzi remained composed, sitting bolt upright with his eyes closed. "My master ascended to immortality last month." Everyone believed that sanctimonious demonic Daoist was an old man past fifty, with a sparse beard. So when Xuan Qingzi pretended he was just an ordinary Daoist, Kuang Lan never suspected a thing. It was only much later that Kuang Lan realized she'd been deceived. She glared at Xuan Qingzi as he washed her feet, seething with anger. He merely said, unhurriedly, "Monks don't tell lies. If I hadn't made something up back then, how would I be washing my wife's feet now?" Theme: Take love seriously
