This is a fairy tale.
Very everyday, with no particular theme.
It's about a girl who may not be brave enough, but always wants to be brave.
Many liberties have been taken, and it makes no logical sense.
Please don't scrutinize it.

In a village on the other side of a mountain lived a little girl named Vera.
She loved white dandelions and mushroom soup bubbling in a pot on rainy days.
She had a somewhat scatterbrained but romantic mom and dad, and a playmate who was always chattering away.
She also had witchlike green eyes and a cat friend who lived next door.
"All things considered, Vera really is a lovable child," said Vera's grandmother, who lived on that mountain. "It's just that I think..."
"She's the bravest!"
Vera hurriedly added, tipping the fruit she'd just picked on the mountain into a bowl.
But perhaps...
Only Mr. Mountain knows the truth.
