[One-Line Blurb]
A Xun Yu fan transmigrates into the Three Kingdoms era as Xun Yu. The man she idolizes? She'll just have to keep playing the part, even if she has to cry while doing it.
Short Blurb:
Reborn into a life of wealth and luxury, how wonderful! But it is the chaotic Three Kingdoms era, how dreadful! Through cracks in the tiles, she counts the slender swallows; from the wilderness, she watches deer dart by. Even if she had already seen all ninety-six years of human life, and watched the blood of heroes run dry, who could bear to look out only for themselves? She is full of ambition; he is utterly disillusioned. She knows the history books have already written it all: someone will ride at her side, someone will toil with her at the desk, someone will burn incense and play music with her, and someone will brave danger with her in a lonely city. Yet she also knows that nowhere do they say: no one will stand with her as she grows tired of life and death.
The judgment written about him forty-nine years ago became her own epitaph: He thought he was walking a rough road strewn with bones. Who could have guessed that even at its end, there would be nothing but hardship and bloodshed?
What you wish for is what I wish for. Though we have lived through two lifetimes, with war smoke rising behind us and splendor in our wake, he simply cannot bring himself to look back.
[Notes]
1. If you don't want to read about the past life in the prologue and first chapter, you can skip them. Readers who require both leads to be sexually inexperienced, please don't read.
2. Readers who insist on strict historical accuracy, please don't read. Though I like history buffs and they have provided us with a ton of material, this is an indulgent, indulgent, indulgent, indulgent, indulgent, indulgent story, and it's full of historical inaccuracies.
3. If you dislike indulgent stories or the irresistible-everyone-loves-them setup, please don't read. The one-line blurb says it: she transmigrates as Xun Yu. The protagonist is a woman who becomes a man. Consider this a warning; I forgot to add it before!
4. I previously tagged this as no CP, since I never imagined there would be a second protagonist. But after a reader's suggestion, I decided a BL tag was more appropriate. That does raise an issue, since a woman becoming a man is a dealbreaker for many readers, so here's a second warning. As for the pairing, I can't promise there will be one, so choose your side carefully.
For now, it looks like Jia-Xun. There are indulgent scenes, and Cao Pi has feelings for Xun Yu. (Sima Yi and Xun Yu, the two Xuns, and the two Huaz are not romantic pairings. They're just indulgent scenes.) Jia isn't the second protagonist, just the one. So don't be surprised that Xun You's nephew gets more attention earlier, Cao Pi gets more later, and Jia Jia gets more scenes than Jia. Character appearances serve the plot, while pairings depend on characterization.
I've removed the boss tag.
I ended the story because the things I wanted to write were too scattered to weave in, so I decided not to force them together; because it's been below freezing lately and my room is too cold to write in; and because several major sections genuinely became impossible to finish. A lot of the time, the scenes I wanted to write were things like establishing a name through greed (61) and fear born of love (66), dry and despairing scenes, but once I started writing, they turned into something else. So I just made the Wancheng chapter sweet instead. I nearly wrote an argument and a war. More than a good premise, I care about logical consistency. I couldn't convince myself to have Ling Jun draft an edict for Wei while Cao Cao was still alive, but I also really didn't want to write the boss's death. Liu Xie's characterization also included the possibility that he might almost become Wen Ruo's confidant, but I cut that plot point entirely here.
To the ladies who write or read fanfiction: as readers, you're more likely to encounter an author's personal interests and whims here than in original fiction. Thank you for reading. It's rare for me to write such a long fanfic, and I'm grateful to have had you along for the journey. Sending you a heart. (????` )
Lastly, I'm very sorry I never explained the circle drawn around in the blurb. I don't want to write a big reveal about the hidden truth, so let's leave it here for now.
Theme:
Register an account in 2024 and come back to review the articles I read before... A friendly reminder to the friends behind me that the author's Weibo name should have been changed (not sure if it's me, but the avatar is the same as Bilibili, and the writing style is somewhat similar?) Moreover, there is no relevant content for this article on Weibo, so there is no need to look for it.
Are you still there? QAQ
No, it's not over, right? The writing is super touching, but I... I am in a trance, the jump is too big, ten years have passed, and I am about to turn fifty. I... Emmmmmmm, I can't control myself from thinking about the aging of Xun Lingjun in his beauty and prosperity, (?_?) I still want to see it
Hahaha, your Majesty... Sister Zhen: My significant other seems to be gay and I am very anxious.
Although it has been very difficult to watch, I am very happy that Jia Xun has been doing well.
What?! You actually prepared to send bentos to Wen Ruo, the male god!! What about conscience??
Boss Cao's group of counselors (harem group) is so beautiful! Guo Xun's stock finally went up hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Sister Zhen said why is the atmosphere between the three of you so weird? Uncle Jia:??? Am I really the real palace? I haven't appeared in a long time.
The second young master is so naughty...! I also want to have my palms licked by the sentimental and romantic boy ww Hahaha, I read a Weibo post two days ago. Api also created an indicator for the annual remarriage rate of widows. This is such a complicated feeling for widows...
I started eating Pixun! Pick up the little mom hahahahahaha
When I read the previous chapters, some of them were separated from the plot.
