The author liked Consort Xian, of the Hoifa-Nara clan, best while watching the show, and that's how this story came about.
Hoifa-Nara Shushen is reborn and deftly employs schemes and cunning tactics, laying clever traps and taking unexpected risks, all to overturn the tragic ending she suffered in her past life:
Her younger brother embezzled money? Her father was falsely accused? This time, she will protect them!
The emperor looked down on her? The Empress Dowager bullied her? In this life, she'll make them repay everything they owe her!
She has forgotten the love of her past life and vowed never to give her heart again. Yet she never expected to fall for a puppy-like young man who wouldn't stop chasing after her.
Shushen: How many times must I say it? I've been using you and deceiving you from beginning to end!
Hongzhou: Then keep using me and deceiving me, as long as you let me stay by your side.
The main pairing is Consort Xian x Hongzhou. Other characters, including Empress Fucha, Wei Yingluo, and Fuheng, will also get happy endings.
