After reading this novel, I always thought of the bjm "You have seen the power of society, but you have not seen the power of myself." I think it is very suitable for Xie Lansheng. Lan Sheng loves movies very much. It can be said that movies are his life. He cannot live without movies. He loves movies so much, but movies are a bit harsh on him. After graduation, he wanted to make movies, but he had to wait five years before he could become a director. He couldn't make movies for five years, which would consume his talent. Therefore, he decided to make his own film as an independent filmmaker. When he was preparing to make his first film "Roots", he also encountered many difficulties, but he did not give up using his clever little mind to solve the problem. There were several scenes that impressed me deeply. One of them was Lan Sheng handing out leaflets to promote his movie in order to sell the copyright to pay off his debts. The second scene was Lan Sheng going to a cafe to spread cloth for customers in order to let more people see his movie. He tried to cover the skylight of the cafe to let people see more clearly, but he fell down and broke his leg. When I saw this, I shed tears of emotion and felt sorry for Lan Sheng. I was very angry when I saw Lan Sheng being maliciously slandered in Chapter 103. Why are those people so bad and want to smear such a kind person who regards movies as his life and goes through many difficulties to make movies? Later I figured out that it might be people's greed for profit and money. Lan Sheng's life is too difficult, but it is also these hardships that allow us to see Lan Sheng's tenacity, persistence, optimism, kindness, intelligence, and cuteness... Lan Sheng has too many qualities, and these hardships make Lan Sheng's character more rich, three-dimensional and vivid. Fortunately, Xinye is by Lansheng's side and can bring some comfort and support to Lansheng. Lan Sheng and Xin Ye spent 63 years together, and they were very loving and even disgusted with each other every day. In fact, I often wanted to cry when I read this novel. I thought about Lan Sheng's hardships. My eyes were blurry when I saw Lan Sheng and Shen Ye's happiness, especially the last chapter when they grew old, sick, and died. How to describe this novel? The story is great and the characters are great. Superpanda is one of my favorite authors over the years. In a sense, it taught me what ideal love is, the ideal of love. More than ten years ago, when I was in junior high school and high school, I watched "The Little Director" when I was in the most painful period. I almost studied directing. This book allowed me to vaguely grasp what I really wanted in this life. Later, I went to college, graduate school, and entered the workplace. I went from idealism to a bit burned out. When I was most confused, I suddenly thought of this book for no reason. After reading it, I read "Independent Filmmaker" again, and I thought about a lot of things clearly. Teacher Panda's works saved me again more than ten years later. And this time a more complete, more real and more moving story. Lan Sheng touched me so much that in a sense, this person seemed to really exist in my life - he persevered for the things he loved, fought against fate, and finally found that every step counts, and those setbacks and suppressions finally made him successful. Even when he was in the most pain and wanted to give up the most, when he felt that he was sorry for everyone, it inspired me - if he could still persevere after going through all this and still find ways to do it, then so could I. I was chatting with a friend yesterday and I said that I am very good at persuading others in a sanctimonious way - these are all necessary stages of life, and every step counts when you are lonely, but when it is your turn, you find that you can't stand the setbacks, or you can't even stand the fact that you are not making vigorous progress. Do you also question the world and yourself so pretentiously, like me? Exploring "ideal" and "love", there are thousands of trivial details and thousands of trivial matters. It is the heart that is full of thorns and flowers. The traveler looking at the moon in the dark night is on the bright road, but he doesn't know which way to step. And you, Lan Sheng, you seem to always know what choice you have to make, and you are determined to go on with it. Because you are an "independent filmmaker". Chinese independent filmmakers are caught between qualification review and overseas mainstream narratives; between politics and capital, and between elites and the masses. One step back is "Why do you want to photograph such a dirty Shanghai for Westerners to see?", And the next step is the propaganda of the state machine. At every step, you have to reject a lot, or accept a lot, remain in awe of the times, and keep a distance, like floating on the sea, but knowing extremely clearly where you want to go. This is the original meaning of "independence". As I write this, I seem to understand what I want. Thanks to this work, I have a lot to think about, but I still have many questions about the world and the future. It doesn't matter, the twenty-six-year-old me looked at the twenty-six-year-old Lan Sheng and felt that maybe I was not alone.
