Amo the Mermaid

An ordinary, by-the-book office worker spends his days going to work, working overtime, and living a plain life where he even uses the crosswalk to cross the street.

Then one day, a mermaid cons him.

From then on, after paying rent, buying instant noodles, and topping up his transit card, he also has to feed a freeloader mermaid.

But this mermaid is so innocent and obedient, and so stupid that if he threw him out, he'd probably starve to death. So he has no choice but to keep him. What a hard life...

Author: Don't worry, the mermaid will repay you, just like the snail girl in the folktale.

Ye Fan: I already spend every day washing and cleaning and cooking. I'm basically the snail girl myself.

Mermaid: Ye Fan, are you mad at me...? *sob...*

Ye Fan: ...No. Let's go home. I'll steam you some fish.

And so the two of them began living happily ever after, with no shame or restraint...

Author: As if! Ye Fan, you wish. This mermaid's background is far more complicated than you can imagine. Much more complicated...

Ye Fan: ...I'll just make do with keeping him.

Author: You're not going to throw him away?

Ye Fan: No. I never will, for as long as I live.
