[Harry Potter] Alive

Frank Bryce & Mary Macdonald

A group drawing-lots-to-write-a-ship activity. Romance, friendship, or just interaction, anything goes.

& This does not indicate a shipping preference.

[Warning] Limited knowledge and insufficient depth of thought. This is simply an attempt at this subject matter, and it's very, very bad.

A note beforehand:

Frank Bryce was the gardener for the Riddle Family. He died at Voldemort's hands at the beginning of the Goblet of Fire, at the age of 76. Since this was 1994, Frank was born around 1918. The original text says, "Frank came back from the battlefield with one leg stiff and uncooperative, and an extreme aversion to crowds and noise. After that, he worked for the Riddle Family." Given the dates of World War I (1914-1918), World War II (1939-1945), and the murder of old Mr. Riddle (Tom Riddle was born on December 31, 1926, and killed his father in the summer he turned sixteen, in 1943. Frank was already the gardener at Riddle House by then), we can infer that the war Frank fought in was World War II, and that he left the war after being wounded before it had ended.

Mary Macdonald is mentioned in Snape's memories in the original story, and was possibly a target of attacks by aspiring Death Eaters from the Marauders' generation. In this story, I've set her up as Lily's friend, also Muggle-born and from a wealthy family. She suffered persecution during Voldemort's first rise, and did not join the Order of the Phoenix.

The story takes place in October 1982, after the wizarding war has ended and the Death Eaters have lost their power.
