He's handsome and resolute, and far more manly than the slender, fair-skinned young Marquis. The older girl the young Marquis has loved since childhood pours out her heart to him, confessing that she's fallen for the great general. Heartbroken, the young Marquis gets drunk at a brothel. There, he spots the general and flies into a rage. He picks a drunken argument with the general, never knowing someone has slipped something into his wine... The young Marquis used to complain about the general in the back courtyard every day, saying he was all looks and putting on an act.
