Falling in Love, Maiko Fujita (play manually)

That funeral was where everything began to change.

Longing for a beloved family member brought about a massacre soaked in blood.

The wheels of fate began to turn, and something lying dormant within her began to rewrite her future.

Being an exorcist seems pretty nice, actually.

A god they had never seen granted them power and forcibly dragged them into the hell called war.

I just wanted a home I could come back to.

In a new place, she met new people and made new companions.

There were more and more things she wanted to protect, and more and more she couldn't bear to lose.

There was no turning back... She had to fight, she had to survive.

All so she could once again face those warm, heartening smiles and say those four simple words.

I'm home.

Read this before you start:

An original female protagonist, no transmigration. The male lead is set: Soybean Sprout. No harem, just one couple, the best!

This is the first long fanfic I've ever written, so I may not have captured the characters' personalities very well. Please forgive me if anyone seems out of character. Because of the wig's repeated hiatuses, I had no choice but to set aside the original story and write an original plot for the second half. Some parts may not fit the original canon, especially since I didn't know how the original story would develop when I first planned the outline.

Also, even though personal preferences are a matter of taste, I won't make you like or dislike anyone. But I don't want to see negative ratings just because of a pairing or a character. I'm still a beginner at writing, so I'm very open to constructive criticism about the plot, descriptions, and anything else that could use improvement. Please share your thoughts, and I'll take them all to heart and do my best to revise.

I know there will always be silent readers, but I still hope that everyone who reads this will leave a comment. Even a simple word of encouragement would mean a lot to me. I'll read and reply to every comment, so please feel free to chat with me.

P.S. The main story is already complete, so you can dive in without worry.
