Synopsis

This is a world where psychics battle demons! They live among us, with perfectly ordinary identities and perfectly ordinary lives. But they also have a side job we know nothing about. Heh, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that this is their real profession. Protect ordinary people and uphold justice! In corners we can’t see, they have fought demons thousands upon thousands of times, all so we can enjoy the seemingly peaceful, comfortable lives we take for granted. They call us ordinary people. They don’t look down on us; in fact, they envy us, because being born a psychic means carrying a duty you can never shirk. They spend their lives fighting, while we go on living ours in ease, never even knowing they exist. Perhaps it’s the police officer who gave you directions on the street just yesterday, perhaps it’s the classmate or coworker you see every day, perhaps it’s the chatty shopkeeper who gave you the wrong change... ... ... We may have met them, and may even know them well. But we can never step into the world that belongs only to them. Their powers, their order, their pressure, their responsibilities, their anxieties, and those loves of theirs, so precarious they feel like walking on thin ice.
