Tales of a Hundred Ghosts

Japan's Heian period: the world is dim and mysterious, and humans live alongside demons. At night, lanterns glow as a hundred demons roam. Snow women and bridge spirits: so many lovesick women left with nothing but sorrow. Incense that summons the dead and zashiki-warashi: may warmth still exist in this world. Hair demons and hundred-eyed monsters: beneath the terror lies a heart full of sorrow. Bone women and algae women: beneath their beauty lurks wickedness. One candle, one stick of incense: come with me and witness this other world. These are some short stories I wrote a while ago, purely for fun. There are only five stories. I hope you enjoy them. Theme: Lovesick men and women are left with only sorrow; nothing wounds like love.
