Love Is Forbidden Under the Heavenly Law

Matchmaker: Third Prince, your star of romance is shining.

Nezha: My star of romance? What does that mean?

Matchmaker: Does the Third Prince have someone he likes?

Nezha: Impossible.

Nezha: Your Majesty, I have a request and beg you to grant it.

Jade Emperor: If you have something to ask, my dear minister, speak freely.

Nezha: I humbly ask Your Majesty to arrange a marriage for me.

Jade Emperor: Which immortal has earned the Third Prince's favor?

Nezha: I have fallen for a young celestial maiden.

Jade Emperor: Nezha has asked me to arrange a marriage, and the person he wants to marry is you.

Heroine: The Jade Emperor agreed?

Jade Emperor: The Heavenly Laws forbid immortals from marrying without permission.

Heroine: That's why Nezha asked the Jade Emperor to arrange it! It doesn't count as marrying without permission.

Jade Emperor: How dare you show such disrespect to the Jade Emperor! Do you know your offense?

Heroine: I know, I know. I shouldn't have flirted with the Jade Emperor.

Jade Emperor: How dare you speak such outrageous words!

Heroine: I know, I know. I shouldn't have had such improper thoughts about the Jade Emperor.

Jade Emperor: How dare you! What punishment do you think you deserve, little celestial maiden?

Heroine: I know, I know. How about you punish me by letting me bathe and dress you?

Jade Emperor: Prepare the carriage for the Heavenly Pool.

Jade Emperor: The Heavenly Laws forbid marriage without permission. The Third Prince's request to arrange a marriage is denied. Do not bring this up again.

P.S. This is a self-indulgent fantasy, written entirely in first person, with no omniscient perspective.

P.S. The heroine is a bit shameless, with a flirtatious streak and a lively mind, and she has all kinds of fantasies.

P.S. In this story, the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother are colleagues, not spouses. The story doesn't use the setting from Lotus Lantern in which they are married, so please don't nitpick.
