This story is on hiatus. School was too busy before, so I had no time to update, and then I forgot about it... (I'm so sorry, it was my fault). Now that I remember it, I've lost the thread and need to take my time sorting things out. I'll post the chapters I already had saved, and maybe we'll meet again if fate allows.
As Ji Yao joins the Special Case Team, one case after another is solved, and the story from seven years ago and the Special Research Institute's project gradually come to light.
The price of that midnight seven years ago must be repaid with one's life.

The story mainly focuses on solving cases. Each case stands alone, with clues planted bit by bit that eventually lead to the ending.
The ending is set: BE, BE, BE! The early chapters aren't angsty, but things will probably get a little angsty later. The number of cases depends on how things go, how busy I am, how the overall plot develops, and what everyone thinks.
The shou appears first (though it may be hard to tell who's gong and who's shou as the story goes on). The story is serious in tone, with the romance as a secondary element and a slow-burn relationship.
For now, updates are planned every other day, and I have chapters saved up. If I have to stop updating, I'll post an announcement ahead of time. I'll do my best not to abandon it, as long as I'm not so busy that I explode.
[Purple Sugar] kswl will update soon and look up 😍
