The World as Our Frontier

A blind fortune-teller carrying a donkey across a bridge made a random prediction, and Chu Hanyan and Gu Yanhan went on to live lives unlike any other.

At first, Chu Hanyan only wanted to marry into a good family and stay in the capital, where she could often reunite with her parents.

At first, Gu Yanhan only wanted to become a great general, serve his country, and make a name for himself.

They both thought that was what their lives would be like.

Years later, Chu Hanyan, dressed in armor, trudged through endless yellow sands.

Gu Yanhan stood in court, trading barbs and pleading on behalf of the people.

In the end, they became people completely different from who they had once been.

The not-so-serious blurb:

Chu Hanyan: I just want to stay peacefully at home. Why are you making me become a nun?

Gu Yanhan: I just want to become a great general and make a glorious name for myself. Why are you making me live in seclusion?

Tang Ba, who fell out of the sky, says this has absolutely nothing to do with me.

Fu Yaozi, who ascended while waving a giant horsetail whisk, says, Apprentice, you're still too young.

Ming Yin, who got stronger after going bald: Amitabha. I was only chuckling, nothing more.
