Passing Sorrow

Looking back, the world has changed beyond recognition. My feelings have changed, just like the sky above. I can never find the devotion I once felt again. I vaguely remember everything from yesterday, but now the sun hangs low, and my heart has found its peace. There are no more ripples. In the end, I can smile at life. When I think of the people by my side, what does it matter if I've lost what I once had, or even the whole world?

At least I'm no longer alone.

Time flies, but the tenderness in my eyes remains. The sunlight softly smooths the sharp lines of his face. He looks at me and smiles, as gentle as ever.

The empire beneath our feet is flourishing. Little by little, people will forget what once happened on this land. The tears of past suffering watered the soil. Next year, flowers will surely bloom everywhere, and people will forget their sorrow.

Flowers fade, lives drift apart, and at last the music ends. Should I be grateful that, at least, we have not been parted?!
