Records of the Strange Beasts of the Mountains and Seas
The cultured version:
A fantastical world from the Classic of Mountains and Seas, where contracted beasts take human form.
Grudges, ambition, and desire intertwine, as evil is purged and love blooms along country roads.
(In plain language! (~ε(#~) ) [Not really]
The down-to-earth version:
The story of a female contract master disguised as a man, who contracts all kinds of human-shaped strange beasts (handsome men) while searching for the truth on a baffling path~
A little scene from Records of the Strange Beasts:
Hello, everyone! This is a little scene from Records of the Strange Beasts. I'm He Luo, a contract master, and today's mission is... sealing a ferocious beast? Why are these missions always so boring? This old man spends all day and all night capturing demons until my back nearly snaps, and that old geezer Feng Lan works me so hard that Tian Ze and I can barely scrape by, staring into an empty pot (drama queen mode activated). Shocking! A maiden of fifteen has been starved and worked to the bone by a thousand-year-old demon, until she's sickly and gaunt. Is this a distortion of demonic nature or a collapse of morality?! (Feng Lan): "Hm? Your salary for the month after next is gone, too." "I'll be off, then. I'll get right to work!"
Content warning:
The author's brain has a black hole. I don't read or write same-sex romance, only swoon over opposite-sex couples. If that's not your thing, please don't complain; just click the red X in the upper right. Trolls and nitpickers, the exit is on the right. Thanks, but no thanks. I wrote this just for my own amusement. I'm no saint, so I'm sorry I can't take everyone's criticism. I'm also a ninth-grade student, so I'm busy and may only update every week or two, but I'll do my best! A gentle hug for all the sweethearts who enjoy the story~
Public notice:
This is the first work by a little novice who's still in ninth grade. Updates may be slow, but I won't abandon it, and I won't put it behind a paywall. Everyone is welcome to point out typos!
Please remove the cover if it belongs to you.
As well as teaching you about the Classic of Mountains and Seas, I hope this everyday story about a bunch of gentle fools can offer you, lonely reader out there, a little comfort and warmth.
