The heroine is Jiang Cheng's cousin, A Yu. She lived with the Meishan Yu clan until she was nine, then went to live with the Yunmeng Jiang clan, growing up alongside Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng. Later, disaster struck the Jiang clan. She escaped it because she and her cousin Jiang Yanli were in Meishan at the time. After learning the truth about her origins, she cultivated the Meishan Yu clan's techniques and became its clan leader. During the Sunshot Campaign, she disguised herself and infiltrated the Wen clan as a spy. She took part in the bloodbath at Nightless City and joined forces with Jin Guangyao to kill Wen Ruohan, avenging her father's death.

After Wen Ning's death, she swore before the cultivation clans that she would not leave Meishan unless called upon, and would concern herself only with her own affairs.

Once, she was a girl in red, dazzling and extraordinarily talented. Now she wears plain white, indifferent to everything.

In the middle of the night, a single call of "Qionglin" brings back so many memories.
