Knowing there's a lion on the mountain, you still want to tame it?
#This Film Emperor Doesn't Look Too Bright#
A cultural heritage documentary.
At the Gate of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City, a pair of bronze lions stand in imposing majesty.
The enthusiastic guide explains, "Before us is the largest un-gilded bronze lion in the Forbidden City. One is female and one is male. They ward off evil, protect the home, and bring power and good fortune."
Shiyu gazes at the bronze lion, lost in admiration. "That's my ideal type."
The guide says, "You have a great sense of humor."
On the set of a horror film.
Newly crowned film emperor Jiang Ti has his right hand in a cast and his left hand wrapped in bandages. He stares at seven identical shots on the camera monitor, feeling that this is the worst case of supernatural trouble in his acting career.
He regretfully announces that he has to withdraw from the shoot.
Shiyu, his costar, remains calm and collected as she reaches out and smacks the camera.
Shiyu: "It's just a kid misbehaving. A little discipline will sort it out."
Jiang Ti sneers. "More likely it'll be disciplining you."
Three minutes later, the camera is working normally again.
Jiang Ti: "..."
An entertainment interview.
Shiyu: Even if every man in the world died, I still wouldn't give Jiang Ti a second look.
Jiang Ti: Stranded on a deserted island with her? I'd choose suicide.
Another entertainment interview.
Shiyu: What do I think of Jiang Ti? He's about on a par with the bronze lions outside the Gate of Supreme Harmony.
Jiang Ti: My ideal type? A lion.
As a bronze lion that wards off evil, Shiyu feels she is far too talented to be wasting her time in show business.
Meanwhile, film emperor Jiang Ti has recently taken up a new occupation: animal tamer.
A film emperor with a built-in streak of bad luck, who works hard and studies hard, x a bronze lion heroine who wards off evil and brings good fortune, and works hard at studying and her job.
