Ever since graduating, Xiao Chengzhi has lived in the little doghouse her parents bought for her. The development is a bit new, a bit expensive, and a bit sparsely populated, but nothing has ever gone wrong there.

Then one day, her pet dog Tudou started barking furiously at the wall. But since he was one of the three sled-dog idiots, Xiao Chengzhi didn't think much of it.

That night, Tudou started barking at the floor-to-ceiling window. Xiao Chengzhi didn't understand why. She pulled back the curtains and thought, What the hell? There's someone out there? And he's really handsome, too. What's going on?

Later, she discovered he wasn't a person. He was a ghost.

Later still, she thought, dating a ghost might not be such a bad idea.

One day, Lu Jinsheng once again paid a nighttime visit to Xiao Chengzhi's home.

He knew the way by heart, and knew how to pass through walls.

Looking at the sleeping girl on the bed, Editor Lu smiled, bent down, and kissed her. Never mind that he couldn't actually touch her.

Later, Lu Jinsheng was no longer a ghost. At last, he got what he wanted and did what he'd long wanted to do with the young woman.

The next day, Xiao Chengzhi, unable to get out of bed, thought, “You should've stayed a ghost.”
