Secret Crush Diary

"Qin Nan, I've fallen for a girl."

The person across from me looked at me, even the corners of his eyes seeming to smile. But that tenderness was meant for the young lady he was talking about.

I froze, then quickly lowered my head to hide my distress. At some point, I had knocked over the scalding hot water in front of me. The pain made my heart clench.

"What are you doing? How can you be so careless?" He took my hand, his voice carrying a hint of anger that was hard to detect. I pulled my hand away and clutched it tightly with my left, desperately telling myself: Qin Nan, don't be greedy. Being friends is already more than enough.

He took me by the hand and applied medicine to my burn. I struggled to contain the emotions surging inside me, then saw him to the door.
