[Touken Ranbu] A Haunted Corrupted Honmaru

Jing Cen Jing is a Ghost King who died during the Spring and Autumn period. He once ruled over the ghosts of an entire region, but after a thousand years, he grew bored and chose to retire. He had a Bone Maiden paint him a skin resembling the one he had in life, put it on, and went out to enjoy the mortal world. In modern times, some ghosts lingering among the living began to run rampant. Meanwhile, Taoism gradually weakened under the influence of modern thought. The Underworld, at its wit's end, sought out this former (?) Ghost King, whose cultivation was so powerful he could run around under the sun, who had never done anything truly terrible, and who was rather fond of money. They asked him to deal with and send off the troublesome ghosts, offering him the Underworld's wages: gold. The Ghost King gladly accepted, but after only a year on the job, the Temporal Affairs Commission inexplicably made him a Saniwa. He took over a corrupted Honmaru, and, with more money to earn, accepted the position. From then on, he spent his days running between the Honmaru, the Underworld, and the mortal world.

Since he had to run between all three places to send off ghosts, Jing Cen Jing wasn't very keen at first on getting too close to these sword spirits who were always looking to get their heads cut off. You want me to lose my head? Do you even know I'm a ghost? But... beware, he may just come around.
