Song of the Godslayer

Someone once asked how to sing the Song of Godslaying.

I replied:

The day old friends reunite after years apart,

Smoke rises by the water as dusk descends.

A hairpin falls in the woods, a bandit arrives,

At night, beasts and hounds leave no bones behind.

The remnants race with the wind above the clouds,

Life and death in all directions await Kunlun.

How many springs and autumns have passed at Kunlun?

What year will the sun and moon turn over Mount Shu?

The sun and moon clear the heart and leave the world behind,

As heaven and earth turn topsy-turvy.

Beyond the ranges upon ranges, there is nowhere else,

Where can the nine-jointed crystal be found?

The stars sing joylessly of the vast sea,

Only at the Wheel of Rebirth can one see the clouds of heaven.

If you wish to know the fruits of this mortal life,

Look to the rest of this tale of immortality.

(You insisted on a blurb. I really didn't want to write one.)

As that song rang out, the man raised a jar of Drunken Immortal's Forgetfulness and drank deeply.

He said, "So what if you become a god? What does eternal life matter?"

Neither compares to the brothels of the Jin family, the forgetfulness of poisoned wine, or old friends on Mount Shu.

And least of all, to him.

I have decided to go premium on September 20, 2018. I'll post three chapters that day, write day and night, and still have to film videos. It's hard being human.
