The Farewell Spirits List makes the rankings, while the tales of the world unfold beyond the Storytellers' Tower.
The storyteller unfurled his long sleeves and slowly spun out a magnificent tale:
Decades of promises amid war. One person slaughtered his way to fearsome renown; one point of a spear forced all to retreat. A brilliant and ambitious talent; a savage from the deep mountains; scheming in the east; choosing to live in the face of death; deception and intrigue in the north; a desireless soul who left the mortal world. The laughable pinnacle of perfection was nothing more than a folding fan, peerless beneath the heavens.
The martial world can be vast: the sea-bound Dragon King was intercepted, all hinging on a single fleeting sword stroke. It split the sky, and a leisurely ride could never take in all the world's splendor.
The martial world can be small: just two people facing off over a game of chess, trapped in a cage they cannot escape. They set out and travel a thousand miles, yet cannot outrun a bloody battle.
The sun sets in the west. Iron bones stand firm. In spring boudoirs, dreams abound, and talented scholars meet beautiful maidens.
Can you keep the common people safe and at peace?
I can protect you for a lifetime.
The trees long for stillness, but the wind will not cease. They say peace is coming, but it never arrives. The storyteller slams his block on the table. Now watch as the painted roles of every kind make their entrances, one after another.
A cheeky, grinning bottom who keeps pushing his luck as long as he can get away with it x a stone-faced top who lets him do as he pleases
