In 1990s Taipei, the antiques auction business is taking off. Bolin and Fumao are secretly competing for the right to host the spring auction. Marvin, the flamboyant yet meticulous head of Bolin Auction House, is quick to spot the trap hidden beneath the surface. Amid the undercurrents, he meets Lin Xiao of the Guanzhi Museum. Their first encounter ends with Lin Xiao being taken to the hospital after a heart attack. Unlike the restless people around him, Lin Xiao seems to exist apart from them, and Marvin can't help wanting to know him better. But as he gets to know Lin Xiao, Marvin discovers the many connections between him and the events surrounding the spring auction. Marvin challenges Lin Xiao: "Do you consider me a friend? I just hope you won't become my enemy." Lin Xiao's gradual account of his story, meanwhile, draws Marvin in against his will. As Marvin finds himself sinking deeper into their relationship, Lin Xiao's body keeps sounding alarm bells. What other story lies behind all this? Will the two remain just friends?
